Silentfang's tail twitched in amusement at the kit's enthusiasm He gave her a little head butt in greeting and then watched as she happily greeted the new cat. He found himself curious at the younger tom's odd expression. But it didn't last long enough for Silentfang to place it. He was pleased to see how Cloudsplash responded to the energetic kit. He set his kill down
"Ebonykit, you shouldn't have charged out here like that. What if we'd been two raccoons? Or a rogue cat?" Silentfang questioned after sitting and wrapping his tail around his paws. This young kit had a lot to learn still.

Ebonykit's eyes gleamed as she purred at Cloudsplash. "Cloudsplash? I like that name!" This little kit really missed being around other cats. Yes, she had Silentfang, and she couldn't imagine her life without him but she missed being around her clan. Her uncle took very good care of her but he didn't really play and often got weary of her kitteness. "Are you going to stay with us?" She asked, the possibility making her knead the ground in excitement.
But her inquiry was interrupted by Silentfang's fussing. Ebonykit sighed, exasperated. "It didn't sound anything like raccoons. They shuffle when they walk. And I knew it was you. I could smell you!" The tiny kit knew he was just looking out for her, but she had been doing so much better about being careful! A kit would just like a little credit.

Flushing with embarrassment as the kit evidently complimented his name, he smiled softly at the feeling between the two. It was like watching a father and daughter... Yet, strangely, it wasn't? He wasn't sure why, but something just felt... Well, different. As if the two were definitely related, but Silentfang was more like an... Uncle or older brother? He wasn't sure, and the shy tom was too hesitant to ask, so he decided to let it be. It was good that some secrets be kept secrets. After all, he faintly recalled someone once saying to him; "In a world of secrets, death is the only promise to silence."
Of course, like many others things, he could not recall who had said it or why they'd done so, but he noted with slight sadness that perhaps he could not stay with the two as Ebonykit had asked. He himself had many things he needed to figure out; about himself and others associated with him too. "Well, I'm not sure. I have some things I need to do."He meowed rather apologetically, though he didn't outright deny the she-cat. Glancing once at Silentfang, he wondered if the tom held some heavy burden upon his shoulders. Why was the tom alone with this kit? Where was Ebonykit's mother, and did she have any littermates? It hurt a little to think that he might never know, and so he looked away and back at the tiny kitten. It was actually kind of nice to think that there was someone smaller than him out in this forest. "That's good. You must learn very fast! Then again, I suppose you have a great teacher. So does that mean you've encountered raccoons before? I saw one by the two-leg place; a big fat, fuzzy things with brown and black fur. Bigger than you even!"He purred in amusement as he crouched next to the cat. Somehow, it was warming to be able to relate to someone else in one way or another. Everywhere he'd gone, the cats he'd met had reminisced about their pasts, yet Cloudsplash could draw up nothing. Where he'd gotten his green eye, or the blue one; perhaps his mother and father? What had they been like? He'd heard of many cats who were kicked out by their parents, and other's who had died. Where were his parents, and did he have any other kin? A littermate perhaps? Or was he an uncle, like Silentfang seemed? To be honest, it rather hurt his head to think about all this, so he tried to concentrate on the two cats in his company instead. "Is Silentfang your... Father, uncle, or maybe brother?"He meowed to the she-kit without sounding demanding. It was just... The question was nagging him and it was like the mouse-bile soaked moss that was needed to rid him of a bothersome tick.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
