Kyo Perched on the fence of a twolegs house eyeing up the warm and cosy nest inside and sighed, it had been a few months now since she had left the safety of her home and led the life of a “wild cat”. Her belly gave a groan of complaint and she felt the numbing pain of hunger grasp her whole body, surely she must be doing something wrong to be losing this much prey? She got to her paws balancing on the fence before leaping down into the garden, she had been watching this place for a while now and knew that a bowl of dog kibble was kept under the porch. She trotted swiftly hoping she could grab the food before the slobbering mutt noticed, once by the bowl she bent her head gulping as much of the dry food down as her mouth would let her.

Shadowstar stalked around, looking for kittypets to chase or attack. He flexed his claws, ready to give the worthless kittypets some marks. But, suddenly he saw a cat - a loner by the looks of it- hop down from a fence, and walk over to the porch to find some disgusting-looking kittypet food. "Disgusting." Shadowstar muttered loud enough for the loner to hear, as he hoped on the fence. "How could you eat that disgusting food? It looks like rabbit droppings!" Shadowstar was ready to give the loner some marks, but he impatiently waited for his reply, glaring down at him with his bright green eyes.

She turned sharply, startled by the voice of the tom. Her ears laid flat against her head and her claws unsheathed instinctively, it had been a while since she had crossed paths with another cat. Glancing back at the food she wiped the crumbs from her face “So this doesn’t belong to you?” She whispered tilting her head, for a moment she had thought the resident cat had appeared. “I must do what I can to survive...” kyo mewed in answer to his question, her senses told her that this cat could be a threat so she lowered her body hoping it didn’t turn into a fight.

"No!" Shadowstar spat, in reply to the loner's question. "I would never eat that garbage. I am defiantly not a kittypet. Do I look like one to you, or something?" Shadowstar smirked evilly, he loved torturing loners and kittypets. Once he was done talking, he would go in for the strike. But first, he would talk with it, figuring out it's past. And it's weaknesses. If Shadowstar learnt about the cat's past, he could easily bring up the topic of something that bothers it. "So, you just gonna sit there, or answer me?" he snarled, curling his tail over his paws.

Suddenly her miss-matched eyes narrowed and she stood up straighter twitching her stump of a tail, She yawned and trotted off towards the other fence leaping up so that there was now a garden separating them “If you’re going to be rude then, no I will not answer your question” She mewed glancing at a paw before grooming it. “In any case if you do not wish to eat garbage then why are you skulking around the houses like a “common” loner or rogue?” She looked over her shoulder to watch the stranger cat, if he was a clan cat then why was he bothering her for she wasn’t a toy that he could bully for entertainment, she thought annoyed.

Shadowstar chucked at the loner's boldness. "I don't skulk around houses, loner. I'm a clan cat, I hunt and fight for my clan. I'm not a stupid little loner or kittypet that lives with those strange, destructive Two-legs." Shadowstar paused, his bright green eyes glancing at the loner's strange, stumped tail. "I'm a clan leader, I have nine lives, granted from Star-" Shadowstar paused again, wondering if the loner knew about Starclan. Probably not. he thought, still curiously looking at the loner's strange tail. "What is that thing?!" he blurted out, his curiosity getting the better of him. "You call that a tail? How could any cat balance and jump with that?"

She gritted her teeth embarrassed and turned to hide her tail “It’s a part of my breed” she hissed getting a bit touchy, her stumpy tail often caught the attention of other cats and indeed it did hinder her ability to balance but she wasn’t going to tell this cat that. Her claws grasped the fence digging into its soft wood as she felt the burning sensation of embarrassment travel up her face. “What’s it to you any ways all mighty “leader” haven’t you got a kingdom to run or something?” she mewed sulkily, this cat was putting her in a bad mood.

Shadowstar grinned as the loner got embarrassed. It was time to attack and make sure the loner knows not to step even a mouse-step over the borderlines. Shadowstar would give her some marks to remember him by. Glaring at the strange loner, he jumped off of the fence, holding his long tail up high. Birds chirped peacefully as Shadowstar stalked through the Twoleg gardens, feeling uncomfortable and exposed. A Twoleg could come out any moment and see him. It was a dangerous risk crossing the garden, but he risked it anyways. Shadowstar jumped on the fence that the loner was on, and he easily crossed the narrow fence to where she was. "Got anything to say before I claw your eyes out?" he asked, his fluffy black tail still held up high. "I'll show you how strong leaders are, how strong I am."

Her head tilted as she thought it over “dog” she mewed and jumped into the next garden as a huge dog leapt up at the fence barking wildly at the leader cat, its eyes filled with menace, Kyo skittered to its dog house and hid underneath it, her eyes glowing in the dim as she watched. That was scary, her paws were no match for a wild cat especially one as strong as him. She bit her white paw as her body shook from fear, how long had it been since she had come face to face with a hostile cat? She peaked back out hoping that the dog would be enough to drive off this intimidating kitty.

Shadowstar growled at the dog as it leaped over the fence. His eyes widened when he saw how large the dog was, and the long, razor sharp teeth. Shadowstar backed away, creeping closer to a nearby bush. Suddenly, the dog started barking louder, and it ran over to the leader, almost catching him between it's powerful paws. Shadowstar jumped on a very tall, but unstable fence, before the dog could touch him. The dog whined and pawed at the fence, which swayed slightly and felt really unstable.
Shadowstar glanced around for the loner, wishing he would have attacked her earlier. The huge dog was pawing harder at the fence, which was now swaying quite a lot. "Mouse dung!" Shadowstar spat in alarm, as the fence started to collapse. He and the dog were now staring menacingly to each other. If Shadowstar was strong enough, maybe he could send the dog off running. But now it was no time to think, because the dog looked ready to pounce. When it did, Shadowstar leaped easily to the side, and the stupid dog collided with the fence, it's nose bleeding. The dog whimpered as Shadowstar took a swipe at it, his claws unsheathed. The huge black dog growled, then tried to bite Shadowstar. Fortunately, it was way too slow, and Shadowstar had plenty of time to move out of the way and claw at its nose. "Haha, stupid mutt!" Shadowstar meowed after the dog, as it ran away.
"I just saved your life, loner." he growled, turning around to face her. "Do you see now how strong leader's are? Next time you might just wanna hold your tounge and respect me."

She poked her head warily out from under the dog house as the beast ran away from the tom cat, was the leader cat still going to attack her? She crawled out and prepared to run tensing her muscles. “Respect has to be earned” she mewed watching cautiously, she wasn’t the type that could hold their tongue even if she wanted to. Placing a paw in front of her she dipped her head “I didn’t mean to cause you offence Mr. leader cat but I do not know the ways of the clans such as yourself, my way of living is different and without restrain plus I don’t come into contact with other cats that often” She turned to leave flicking her stubby tail, the sun illuminating her light coloured pelt. “Fighting is not my way of life”

"Just stay out of clan territory." Shadowstar growled, still alarmed by the loner's short, stubby tail. "If you come any where near the borders, I promise I'll fight you!" And with that, the midnight-black leader turned and stalked back to Nightclan, staying in the shadows of tall bushes. "What a pathetic cat." Shadowstar muttered, once he was pretty far away from the loner and back in Nightclan territory. What kind of 'wild' cat doesn't fight!? Shadowstar thought, rolling his bright green eyes. She'll die in a second out here, in the wild. And she could never, ever survive in the forest on her own. She'd probably get scared of a squirrel!
