Cloverpaw paced beside the Huge Tree, the training grounds for apprentices. She came early, eager to have a full training session. The last time her and Tigerstar trained, they were interrupted by some Streamclan cat by the name of Cyanstar. He went on and on about a rogue that Streamclan probably couldn't handle by their selves. He warned Blazeclan of him, a rogue was no challenge for Blazeclan. they could get rid of him quickly. But Cyanstar certainty didn't think that, and he trekked all the way over to Blazeclan territory for that unwelcoming news. Cloverpaw would have loved to attack the leader, but that would probably make her mentor and leader, Tigerstar, get very mad.
Cloverpaw rolled her eyes at the thought of Tigerstar's strictness. It was so annoying that he never praised her, no matter how well she did. He would always say she could have done better than that, and to keep practicing. She tried her best to ignore Tigerstar's comments, but sometimes she couldn't hold back an angry reply.

Tigerstar woke with a big yawn, "Ahhhhh, What a good sleep" He mewed to himself. Tigerstar got up and flexed and stretched hims muscules, "I better get to the Huge Tree to start training with Cloverpaw," He meowed outloud, "Idiotic Cyanstar barging in, I should have ripped that fools fur off!" Tigerstar finished stretching and stalked out of his Den. Tigerstar immediately spotted Cloverpaw waiting for him, She looked like she had a scowl on her face. Tigerstar jumped down from the rock and ran over to his Apprentice. "Cloverpaw, Hopefully today we can get a full session in. I really liked the way you handled the situation yesterday," A look of pride shone from his eyes as he spoke, "Good job, Alright were going to explore the territories today, I know it's boring but it's essential. And then we'll go hunting" He paused for a moment, "Understood?" He mewed with an edge to his voice. Tigerstar looked up to the sky, "Starclan, Please watch over us today." He prayed silently.

Cloverpaw looked strangely at Tigerstar. He had actually praised her, and seemed like he meant it! Wooow. Cloverpaw thought, wondering if Tigerstar was sick or something. He didn't normally act like this, it probably wouldn't last long though. Or maybe he was just having a great day today. Whatever it was, it made Cloverpaw really happy, and eager to show how much more skill she really had.
"Yes." Cloverpaw nodded once Tigerstar was finished explaining. "I understand! Where are we going first? Are we gonna check out the river!? Maybe we'll see more fish cats - I mean Streamclan cats! Or are we going to the Huge Clearing? Oooh, I bet I'd be awesome there! Elders told me about how huge it is. And the huge tree in the clearing, my mom said you could reach Starclan if you climbed to the top. We better not climb it! Remember the time you fell from the tree?! That was awful."
Note: Here's a map, if you need to know where borders are and such: clansofthejungle.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=map&action=display&thread=3&page=1 I really need to make new one, it's ugly. xP

"Alright settle down!," He snapped, "You're not a kit anymore! Act like a Blazeclan apprentice!" Tigerstar then calmed himself and spoke more gentler, "We will start off exploring the Nightclan border and work are way up to the Huge Clearing, and back to the Streamclan border, Not fish cats have respect, and we will do some hunting on the way. Sound good?" He asked, without waiting for an answer he began walking away starting toward the Nightclan border. "We are going to take our time, I want you to learn this territroy inside and out, To use to your advantage in both hunting and battles. Also, If we run into any border patrols intruding, I'll deal with them and you fo back to camp and tell Lionfire, understood?" He sounded very serious. "No goofing around or we'll will come right back to camp and you will fetch everyone's bedding and hunt for the clan with no rest. Do you understand Cloverpaw?" He mewed stern but calmly.

"Sure." Cloverpaw answered, as she followed Tigerstar. She didn't entirely mean it. If there was a border patrol intruding, Cloverpaw wouldn't just run off for help like a helpless kit, instead she would fight for her clan, even if she hadn't had much training.
Cloverpaw continued gracefully following Tigerstar, a warm Newleaf breeze ruffled her creamy pelt. It was an excellent day outside, everything seemed peaceful and relaxed. Cloverpaw's bright green eyes glanced up at the sky. It was clear, a beautiful deep blue, with the sun shining over head, it's rays warming Cloverpaw's fur. "I love Newleaf." Cloverpaw purred as the sun warmed her pelt.

As Tigerstar walked toward the direction of the Nightclan border he got chills, "I hate coming anywhere near them" He murmered to himself. Tigerstar stopped for a moment to let Cloverpaw catch up, "Even fat Streamclan cats could catch you with you moving like that" He teased. Tigerstar stared at his apprentice, he truly cared for her and would do anything for her, but she had to be disciplined.
While he was waiting for her to catch up he stared up at the sky, "Oh Starclan, Please let our travel be protected and safe. I don't want anything to happen to her." he prayed silently. Tigerstar spotted a fat, plump mouse scurrying across the floor. Tigerstar immediately positioned himself in the Hunter's Crouch. He stalked silently over toward the Mouse. Each paw step not making a sound, as if he was wind. Which was surprising considering Tigerstar's size. Tigerstar quickly pounced on it brining down all the force he could, all the muscules and his strength coming down on one target. The mouse squealed for a second, then went still. Tigerstar again looked to the sky, "Thank you" He whispered.

Cloverpaw watched as Tigerstar stalked a plump mouse. At the right time, the leader leaped and killed the mouse quickly. Then, he looked up at the sky and seemed to be making a silent prayer to Starclan. "I doubt Starclan even exists!" Cloverpaw mumbled under her breath, looking at the dark Nigthclan territory. There were huge trees there, very unlike Blazeclan, which hardly had any trees. The trees looked old, and creepy to Cloverpaw, it seemed like they were alive, whispering between their selves. Cloverpaw shivered, Nightclan cats seemed creepy, although she had never met one.
"How can they hunt with so many trees?" Cloverpaw asked, still staring into Nightclan's dark territory. "It looks so creepy." she added, glancing up at Tigerstar.

Tigerstar quickly buried the catch of juicy Mouse, He stalked back over to his Apprentice, Cloverpaw, He stared at her questioningly, "What was that? Something about Starclan?" Tigerstar was in a good mood today, He loved being outside the camp and teaching others different things. "Yes, Nightclan is creepy, and I don't see how they hunt in all those Trees, but Starclan has blessed each clan with different abilities so they can function properly in their territory. Nightclan do not use the hunters crouch, for their prey are different than ours, They hunt mostly voles and squirrels," Wisdom shone from Tigerstar's eyes as he spoke, "Nightclan are a formidable opponent they are, It is smart never to be over here when it is dark. They have very keen eyesight in the dark. They are almost as stubborn as me." Tigerstar chuckled at his own joke. "Look around and get use to the territory, You'll need to know it." Tigerstar started walking toward the way of the huge clearing, "Come on when you're done" He mewed.

Cloverpaw glanced at the dark territory again, not willing to go near the border. "Okay, I'm ready to move on!" she meowed, turning around to face Tigerstar. "Are we going to the Huge Clearing next?" she asked, getting impatient. Cloverpaw flicked her tail, quickly standing up and walking quickly towards the direction of the Gathering spot. The fast walk broke into a swift run, and before she knew it, Cloverpaw was in the center of the Huge Clearing.
The Huge Clearing was giant, it was a vast area with green grass, almost the same colour of Cloverpaw's eyes. In the middle of the clearing, there was a huge tree. It was the place where the leaders would announce their news, and it looked even bigger than what Cloverpaw's mom had said.

Tigerstar smiled at his Apprentice's excitement and curiosity, "Yes yes, We are" Tigerstar watched half angry at his apprentice for running straight into the Huge Clearing, but half amused as he had not had the luxury of having a Leader as his Mentor. Tigerstar walked over to the Huge Tree, "This is where the Leaders come and announce news at the Gatherings," He pointed her to a different spot than she was standing, a little to the left, "This is the spot of the branch where I mostly sit. The gatherings are very important, they can bring good and bad. Not too long until I will bring you to your first one, and maybe even one day, you will be sitting a top that branch as Blazeclan's Leader" His eyes shone with pride at his young apprentice. "Cloverpaw go explore the Clearing, and tell me what you scent." He mewed as he dragged himself up to this spot on the branch.

Cloverpaw gazed up at the tree again, imagining herself sitting at the branch that Tigerstar pointed to. She pictured herself older and stronger, addressing all of the clans and telling them Blazeclan's news or warnings. Being a leader seemed like a lot of responsibility, and it seemed very serious.
I doubt I'll ever be leader. Cloverpaw thought, walking around the clearing, smelling the warm air. She closed her eyes, concentrating on the scents. There was the mingled scents of the borders, of all the clans. And there was a hint of squirrel, probably in the Great Tree. Cloverpaw didn't smell any Twolegs, or cats crossing the border. Twolegs rarely came here, anyway. Cloverpaw re-opened her eyes, walking to each border and smelling them. She wanted to be able to recognize each scent, and name them. After she was done smelling all the borders, she bounded back to Tigerstar and reported what she smelled.
"There wasn't anything unusual." she meowed, looking up at the strong leader. "There was the scents of all the clans, mingled together. I sniffed each border, so I can recognize the clan scents. There also was scent of squirrel, probably in that huge tree." Cloverpaw glanced up at the branch where Tigerstar was sitting, remembering how he fell from the tree and sprained his paw. "Tigerstar, you should be careful. Remember the last time you climbed a tree...?"

While Cloverpaw was scenting and exploring around the huge clearing Tigerstar was watching her, "She has a great posture, making sure she is not making too much noise, She is doing well" He mewed to himself. Tigerstar then closed his eyes and just listened to his surroundings. He heard the leaves in the tree he was sitting in rustling. The mice scurrying behind the bushes surrounding the Huge Clearing, Birds chirping as they flew by, "Ahhhh, Starclan, You have done such a great job" He mewed up to the sky, as it just lightened up as if Starclan was blushing from his compliment.
Then Tigerstar's somewhat of a meditation was interrupted by footsteps coming toward him. Tigerstar opened his eyes and listened to his apprentice. "Good, You need to get used to clan scents," He paused for a moment, " A squirrel you say?" He stopped and smelt, "She is right, I smell it now." He thought to himself, "Cloverpaw, Climb the tree and catch that squirrel." He mewed. Tigerstar jumped down in one strong, majestic leap down from the branch he was on. "Well, go on. Once you catch that Squirrel then we will continue" He nodded his head toward the tree. Tigerstar stood waiting for Cloverpaw to start.

Cloverpaw's eyes widened as Tigerstar told her to catch the squirrel. It was so high up! And she never learned how to hunt in a tree!! Cloverpaw gulped, trying to remember how Tigerstar had climbed the tree. Then she leaped up onto a sturdy looking branch. She almost lost her balance on the first jump, but she regained her balance quickly. The squirrel was a lot higher than she was! It would take a while to get it.
After quite some time, Cloverpaw was right under the branch that the squirrel was on. The branch seemed weak and flimsy, defiantly not strong enough for a cat. But, the squirrel's weight was just fine for the weak branch. Cloverpaw glanced up, trying to figure out how to catch the squirrel. I can't jump up there... she thought, twitching her tail. But there is a branch behind it, I could get it from behind.
Cloverpaw's bright green eyes looked up at the branch she had to jump to. It looked pretty strong, not flimsy like the branch the squirrel was on. Crouching down, Cloverpaw quietly leaped up, and landed right on the branch behind the innocent squirrel. Then she crouched, and stealthily walked forward, delivering a quick bite on the squirrels neck, killing it in an instance.
After the hunting was done Cloverpaw had to get down. It sounded pretty easy, but it really wasn't. Getting down was a lot harder than getting up, and she couldn't just jump down in a single leap because she was pretty high up. Instead of attempting to climb down, Cloverpaw looked at down Tigerstar helplessly, and said. "I-I don't know how to get down!"

Tigerstar watched his apprentice, Cloverpaw, climb the trees. His eyes went wide when she done it with ease. "You're a natural climber" He mewed when she made it to the branch with the Squirrel. Tigerstar situated himself to get a clear image of Cloverpaw hunting the Squirrel. Tigerstar was impressed at how well his apprentice has come along already. Tigerstar had never been more proud of her...Until she said that she could not get down.
Tigerstar stared at her with mocking eyes, "It is okay Cloverpaw, Just relax your muscles. You got yourself up there, now you can get yourself down. At least try" He mewed sympathetically. He knew what it was like if you fell out of a tree, of course when he fell it was way shorter. Tigerstar leaped down from his branch, "Try Cloverpaw, if you fall I promise I will catch you" He extended his paws. "Have faith, Starclan is with you. They will not let you down, I swear" He mewed gently. "Well, At least, I hope" He thought to himself.

Cloverpaw rolled her eyes at the Starclan comment. How could they be with her if they didn't even exist!? Starclan was just a little tale for kits, to make them feel happy and safe. How could Tigerstar believe in them? Maybe he had dreams with the elusive 'Starclan', but that didn't mean anything. Dreams are dreams, not dead ancestors contacting you.
Cloverpaw rid her thoughts of Starclan. She had to get down carefully, with no distractions. Bracing herself, she jumped down to a lower, sturdy branch. She almost lost her balance, but caught it just in time. I can do this! I can do this... Cloverpaw thought desperately in her head, as she jumped down to another branch. She kept doing the same routine, all the way down to the bottom. Find a branch, examine it, brace self for jump, leap to branch, balance.
At last, Cloverpaw was at the bottom, panting, but smiling. "Hey! that wasn't so hard." she said, skipping around and acting like her old self again.
Note: Sorry it took a while to reply, I was sick. D:
